Adjust RX1 settings to default

Use these instructions to reset the default RX1 camera settings that are predefined by Wingtra in case they are accidentally erased or changed.

Reset settings

  1. Remove the RX1 camera from the WingtraOne and the mount. For instructions on how to remove the camera please check the first 2 steps in this article.
  2. Power on the camera by plugging in the camera battery, and move the switch on top to ON.
  3. Conduct a Setting Reset (to get here, go to the menu button's suitcase symbol = 6 = Setting Reset). Select Camera Settings Reset and Initialize to erase all settings.

In case the Camera Settings Reset is grey and cannot be selected, skip it, select immediately Initialize and click OK.

Reset the defaults

  1. Adjust the focus selector ring on the front side to MF.
  2. Set the EV correction dial (on top right of the camera) to +-0.

  3. Set the aperture dial to 4.5 by turning the ring on the camera lens. Select normal lens mode by turning the second ring to 0,3m-∞ .

  4. Set shutter speed to 1/2000 by turning the wheel on the back.

  5. Set the mode dial to manual (M).
  6. Set camera settings in the menu under the camera icon. See images below for original settings.

  7. Set the general settings in the gear icon section of the menu.

  8. Set WiFi settings (WiFi icon). 
  9. Create and select REC folder (suitcase icon).
  10. Set utility settings (suitcase icon).



  11. Save the settings on memory recall as follows. Select one of the following 3 options for the image quality. NOTE: Keep the mode dial in the M position.
     
    1. Go to the camera tab and set Quality to Fine.

      1. Again in the camera icon go to 8 and click Memory.
      2. Navigate to page 2 using the navigation buttons and click Enter.
    2. Go back to 1 of the camera tab and set Quality to ExtraFine.
           
      1. Go to number 8 in the camera tab and click Memory.
      2. Navigate to page 3 using the navigation buttons and click Enter.
    3. Go back to 1 in the camera tab, and set Quality to Raw & JPEG.
             
      1. Go to number 8 in the camera tab and select Memory.
      2. Navigate to page 1 using navigation buttons and click Enter.
  12. Set the video to MP4
    1. Navigate to File format
    2. Change to Mp4
  13. Save the settings permanently with the following actions:
    1. Turn the camera off using the on/off switch on top. Wait for at least 5 seconds.
    2. Turn the camera on using the on/off switch on top of the camera.
  14. Set the mode dial on top of the camera to mode 2 (default). With mode in this position, the quality of images is Fine. In case you want to have images with lower or better quality, move the dial to modes 1 or 2. Don't turn off the camera; just take out the battery.
  15. Place the RX1R II, connected to the mount, back into WingtraOne by following the instructions here.
